Creating business and social impact has always been the theme of Kanchana Moodliar’s life, even when purpose did not seem the trend of the time! Kanchana was part of the Mail & Guardian top 200 Young South Africans list in Civil Society in 2012 for starting an NGO called Saris for Good Karma, where she helped over 120 women find their independence by offering them the opportunity to learn how to become skilled seamstresses with business prowess. She has also won the Inyathelo award for Philanthropy. She is the co-founder of SA’s largest consumer Beauty Festival, Beauty Revolution, where she and her partners have helped turn beauty into a force for connection, pleasure, expression and growth for young beauty entrepreneurs and the SA beauty industry at large. Now, just after one year, and a rapidly growing digital community of +17 000 fans, she is looking to expand both the digital platform and the festival across Africa and the Middle East, using Beauty as a force for good. Kanchana has over 20 years’ experience across many sectors from FMCG, Tourism, Events & Retail to NGO and entrepreneurship. She has been a Business Humanizer and Partner at Innate Motion, the world’s leading Business Humanizing company, for over 5 years where together with a team of cultural decoding and strategy experts have helped many of the world’s leading brands to discover and stand for a meaningful purpose. Her passion and purpose is to influence, inspire and transform more business leaders, brands and organization to truly dare to care.
